Kanji represent objects and ideas. They are classified into 6 categories.

Hiragana and Katakana are phonetic characters created around 9th century. They are used in combination with Kanji to form the sentence. Katakana is mainly used for foreign words.

Jukugo is a word made by combining two or more Kanji, for example most of the signs and marks use Jukugo.
