We are back from our brilliant trip to Japan and would like to thank you so much for organising it for us. All of the arrangements worked really well including hotels and travel. Thank you for resolving the small issue where the guy in the Kyoto hotel.
Peter & Jenny ,
Outstanding service; ordered our tickets late and weren't going to come on time, so one of the employees (Julia) met us on our way to the airport to deliver our tickets. Julia went above and beyond for us, something that not many companies would do. Would highly recommend.

We would definitely recommend it to others. This is the second trip to Japan I have taken with you and I would certainly use you again for any future trips I take to Japan.
All of it, we loved all places we went to, we really liked being in the centre of it all in Tokyo and then going to the more quiet and relaxing places like Hakone and Kyoto. We also liked the ease of being able to get around on the brilliant train network in Japan and the fact that there was lots of flexibility in the itinerary.
26 March 18' Tokyo, Osaka, Nagasaki, Kumamoto and Fukuoka
May I thank you and your company for a fabulous well organised trip.
Everything went well and I will certainly be back to you again if I manage to plan another trip.
I was bit apprehensive about Tokyo travel and my family meeting me in Osaka and Kyushu, but everything went well.
Thank you so much.
Mr R Otani,
28 Dec 17 Hong Kong, Tokyo, Nikko
I thought I’d drop you a line to thank you for putting together such a successful package which came to an end yesterday.
I don’t recall there being any major problems with the itinerary at any point during our trip.
Business Class worked very well in helping us deal with the impact of such a long journey. We can’t imagine doing it in any other way.
The arrangements in Hong Kong worked out well. We were picked up and dropped off at Narita in a timely manner – despite the heavy snowfall the day before our departure.
The Asakusa View was ideally situated for our trip to Nikko. Nikko itself offered us a welcome break from the relentless heat of Australia, I just wish we had been there when the snow started on Sunday.
Kosuchi no Yado Tsurukame Daikichi was an excellent choice – again, well situated, and offering a fine experience.
If there is a next time we will return to Kyoto but thereafter explore another part of Japan that we haven’t been to before – Hokkaido perhaps.
Whatever we decide to do we would have no hesitation in asking for the assistance of HIS once again.
5 Nov 17' - Tokyo, Nagoya, Kyoto and Osaka
It was great thanks. Really nice to go to a few different places and I think I found the train travel a bit easier as well this time.
The hotels were all pretty nice, I especially liked the one in Kyoto. The only thing I’d really change would be direct flights so it`s a bit quicker and easier.
Thanks for all your help again, it makes the holiday a lot more enjoyable when you have confidence that it`s all been properly organised.
30 Oct 17' - Tokyo, Hiroshima, Miyajima, Kyoto
Wanted to say a HUGE thank you for helping us plan our honeymoon.
We had the most wonderful time and truly loved Japan. Attaching some photos of us in our kimonos and at some of the great beautiful attractions.
In terms of feedback on the hotels – our favorite hotel was the Tokyo Century Southern Hotel, it was super nice and the breakfast was A*. We also loved the hotel in Kyoto – also served great breakfast. The Kikunoya in Miyajima was by the far the most cultural and traditional experience we had and we loved it for one night!
Thank you again!
Clare and Steven,
21 Jun 17' - 14-Day Japan Group Tour
We all greatly enjoyed our visit to Japan. The tour itinerary was very comprehensive, taking in many different sights of interest and giving us a fascinating exposure to Japanese culture. The hotels were all excellent, so thank you for making such good choices. In addition the guides for the individual day tours were very good. We did not encounter any problems throughout the entire visit to Japan and overall it was an excellent experience.
Thank you again for your valuable help in arranging this very memorable holiday. Your knowledge of what was required and organisational skill in making it happen, are much appreciated.
Mr B Frier,
10 Apr 17' - Tokyo, Kanazawa, Osaka, Himeji and Kyoto
We had a wonderful trip and enjoyed every minute. The country is so clean and organised and we felt very safe at all times. The people are so polite and helpful and we were surprised at how many could speak English too as we only knew around 4 words in Japanese!
Your careful planning and attention to detail were amazing and we want to thank you and your colleagues so very much.
We are still a little jet-lagged, but it is getting easier with every day and we are back at work today.
We have still to upload all the photos but will enjoy looking back on our holiday for years to come.
Tokyo, Kanazawa, Osaka, Himeji and Kyoto
17 Oct 16' - Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Takayama and Kanazawa
The itinerary that we put together was great, but for me the additional
information that you provided, such as train times to Kanazawa, directions to hotels etc. took away all the
stress of having to do the research for ourselves. The hotels and ryokans were all good, but the
Hakone ryokan was especially pleasing.
Thanks to you all of our plans went very smoothly and we had no difficulty in getting around on
public transport to places that we wanted to visit.
The Autumn festival in Takayama for me, was the highlight of the holiday and it exceeded
my expectations. From my trip 17 years ago, when I saw the Spring festival I have
always wanted to return to Takayama to see the Autumn festival. Now I have achieved that desire.
The day city tours of Toyko and Kyoto/Nara were excellent. However, I found the Hakone
Mount Fuji tour a little frustrating, as we spent little time at the destinations.
I was particularly impressed with Asiana Airlines with both the leg room and service on
Hayley thank you so very much for making this trip so successful and I will
most definitely recommend your company to anyone interested in going to Japan.
Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Takayama and Kanazawa
3 Oct 16' - TOKYO, MATSUMOTO, KISO VALLEY, KYOTO, HIROSHIMA
We owe you sincere thanks for planning such a superb itinerary for us. It was very varied and everything worked like clockwork! The HIS in-house team were waiting for us at the airport and took great care of us driving us to our hotel in Tokyo. The sumo tickets were waiting for us as we checked in and the staff made sure we knew where we had to go for our first pick-up point the following morning. But the maps you sent were very clear anyway and we were able to get to all of our tours on time. All of the tours were very professionally organised and we saw all of the venues as itemised on the schedules.
Japan lived up to all of my expectations - the food, cities, history, traditions, countryside, temples etc. - and I particularly admired the respectful and courteous behaviour of the Japanese people. We felt very sad when the HIS team dropped us off at Narita on our final evening taking the time and trouble to ask us if we'd enjoyed out stay and hoping we would like to come back to Japan again. (We would love to go back and hope we will be able to repeat the experience one day). Please give our thanks to the HIS Office and to the drivers who took us to and from the airport.
Thank you for helping us have an unforgettable holiday, Hayley - it was a memorable way to celebrate my 60th birthday/
All the best,
7 Jun 16' - KAGOSHIMA, NAGASAKI, YUFUIN
We had (again) wonderful time in Japan, as l kept saying there, l love Japan, everything works like clockwork, its clean, safe and friendly.
Kuyshu Island has loads to offer and l think many Japanese use it as holiday destination, especially Yufuin area.
Kagoshima and the volcanic island Sakurijama very interesting, as the volcano is active daily, one can follow it at the Sakurajima visitor centre.
One of the high lights of our tour was the Kinzangura ex-gold mine shochu brewery. We all really enjoyed it very much. Without the guide it would not have been as enjoyable because everything was in Japanese and the tour in the “cellar” was in Japanese, so he translated the main points to us. The main building/reception was beautiful wooden building, with little stream and fish, very peaceful and relaxing. We used an old (renovated) mine train to the tunnel and brewery, very nice. Then back to the shop and some tasting.
On the way to Nagasaki a little stop at the Kumamoto castle, very interesting and beautiful. Arrival to Nagasaki was late afternoon, so once we got to the Peace Park we did not have time to visit the museum, but the history of the atomic bomb devastation was on the signs and boards, available in English.
Arita was a disappointment. The reason for that might be the wrong weekday to do the tour, most of the places of interest were closed, many shops were open.
Yufuin, what can l say, what an experience. Beautiful town. The journey from Tosu to Yufuin with an old fully renovated train was absolutely beautiful, through the mountains and valleys. The hotel had a pick up service between 3-5 pm, so we were picked up, no need for taxi. The hotel itself was a bit old fashioned and worn out, but very clean and friendly, the dinner and breakfast were excellent (as long as one likes Japanese food, and we do). I recommend for a real Japanese experience.
So to put that short, Kyushu would be a good destination, possibly similar programme we made. Local guide helps to get around faster and a great language help, especially places like the brewery. I cannot recommend the Japan Rail Pass value enough, excellent value.
1 Jun 16' - TOKYO, TAKAYAMA, KYOTO, HIROSHIMA
We had the most amazing time, and you were right you can get by with the signs and time tables – we managed it with about 4 words of Japanese! I was amazed at how often we were the only Europeans around, even in Tokyo, but we did not feel uncomfortable. We managed to do everything we wanted and more thanks to your tips. The kids adored the wild deer on the island near Hiroshima. The whiskey tour is something I would definitely recommend to your clients who like whiskey.
25 May 16' - HIROSHIMA, KUMAMOTO, KUROKAWA ONSEN, KYOTO, TOKYO
We were very impressed by the schedule of our stay that you put together for us. All the train names, times and platform names were perfect and we actually took exactly the trains you mentioned. We even caught all the trains to Hiroshima on the day of our arrival following your schedule. One exception was that we stopped in Osaka for 2 hours on our way to Kyoto to see the nightlife. All other arrangements: Kokedera tickets, luggage, bus to Kurokawa Onsen also arrived on time to respective hotels and were very useful. Our trip would not have been the same without all these advanced reservations. We used every single of your maps and directions to get to our hotels. So all in all, you contribution to our trip was extremely valuable. We loved Japan and really want to come back in a few years. Maybe see the Japanese Alps and Hokkaido this time and stay again in an onsen.
3 Feb 16' - KYUSHU, HIROSHIMA, KYOTO, TOKYO
We have enjoyed a comprehensive tour of Kyushu. It’s a very beautiful island and we feel that we have savoured the best it has to offer. A major contribution to our safety, comfort and enjoyment was our bus driver. He was unfailingly courteous, helpful and reliable. We admired his professional skill and we felt safe and secure in his capable hands. His driving was a model of all what is best. We are grateful to him and we wish him well in the future. Our guide worked without reservation to ensure that we maximized our holiday enjoyment. We marvelled at her dedication. She worked from early morning to late evening and was always planning ahead to smooth our way. She was informative, friendly and very good company. She kept us fully informed on the history, culture and sociology of Japan. We learnt a great deal from her and she was always happy to answer our questions. She is dedicated and tireless in her commitment to the enjoyment and well being of her clients. She became our friend and we will remember her with fondness. A good guide makes a real contribution to the success of the holiday. Heidi is exceptional and we benefited from her dedication and hard work. We commend her for her work and we are very grateful. We congratulate the people who drew up the itinerary and we are happy to report that our tour of Kyushu was a resounding success.
